Celebrate America's 238th Birthday! Join the 4th of July Kailua Parade
Bring out Old Glory, join the Kailua 4th of July Parade, and proudly wave the flag as we celebrate the 238th anniversary of America’s Independence!
The 68th Annual Kailua Independence Day Parade, which the Family of Freemasons has been participating in for years, will be along Kainalu Drive on Friday, July 4, 9:00am. The
parade will stretch from Palapu Street to Kailua Intermediate School. The Hawaii Grand Lodge, Blue Lodges, and concordant Masonic bodies like the Aloha Shriner, Demolay and Rainbow for Girls have been regular participants. Leeward Lodge members are urged to take part in this historic event.
Organized by the Kailua Chamber of Commerce, the event is reported to have this year over 200 marching groups, 40 vehicles, 40 floats and four bands. Masonic participation is coordinated by Ko’olau Lodge, F & A M.
“Let us be one with our Masonic family and join America in celebrating this historic moment,” says WM Jay Oliver Bajuyo.
A potluck barbecue party and fraternal gathering at Bro. David Floirendo’s Kunia farm will follow the parade event. Details on how to get there will be provided later.
